Services

As well as selling bowls products, Bowls Buddies can support your organisation, school or club in a variety of ways, as set out below.

School Events

We can provide free advice if you are a School Sports Partnership or a school wanting to run a special event for children. This might be on how to best organise a morning session for a number of schools or a special event within your school itself. If you would like one of us to come along and organise the event on the day and bring some equipment then that is chargeable at £150 (incl VAT). Just get in touch using the Contact Form on this website and we will call you back to discuss your requirements.

Club Website Development/Social Media

Having a website for your club is so important, this can attract new members and provide your existing members with important information. Ian is experienced in creating and running club websites, including one for the Lancashire Crown Green Bowling Association. For £300 (incl VAT) he can create a free website for your Club and some basic training on how to use it. It will be created on the WordPress platform and will give you the ability to create a regular news blog; link to a Google Calendar, provide a contact form so people can easily get in touch and create any pages that you wish to have. News posts can also link to a Facebook page if you so wish so that you only have to post once.

Social media is also so important these days to publicise your club and advice can be provided on how to create a Facebook page for your club or a Twitter account. £300 will also pay for this customised advice, if you wish to have it, and appropriate training on using social media. You will more than get your money back in membership fees.

Club Development

There is free advice available from the Bowls Development Alliance on club development matters and we would recommend you contact them in the first instance. If, however, you would like some bespoke advice from us on club development matters then please get in touch and we can assess how we might be able to help and what it might cost – from some initial free quick advice through to us visiting your Club and providing a more in depth service and helping you to develop a Club Development Plan.

Club Workshops

Would your Club like to hold an open day but would like some further advice on the best way of going about it? You could also receive some training for your club members on running an open day, a series of taster sessions, or Bowls for Health sessions. Again the BDA may be able to assist with this. However, we could also assist with a half day training session on the key things to be aware of, and some practical sessions on the green to give you some great ideas on how to make it fun and welcoming for people and how to ensure that they ultimately join your Club. Contact us for a discussion on the cost for such a session (either a per person charge or a standard fee). You will more than get your money back through new members. Ian has already run such workshops with excellent feedback from participants.

If there are any other key bits of advice or training you feel that your club needs, then do not hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss how we might be able to help.

Bowls Buddies Parties

Children just love our Bowls Buddies bowls and equipment, so how about something different for your child’s party? If you have hired a space, we could run a ‘Bowls Buddies’ party for the children and make it fun and entertaining. Contact us to discuss what you might want to do and a price, as this will largely depend on location and numbers etc.
