Great feedback

We are grateful to Stephen Beamish, from Hinckley Bowling club in Leicestershire, who kindly posted the following fantastic feedback on LinkedIn:

I got mine last week and I would highly recommend any club or association to invest, the bundles are great it takes away any thinking and the bowls are repeatable so once a child gets it you can start planning for the Nationals. Stephen and Ian are great to deal with, they love bowls and won’t sell you short 👍🏼

Further Awards

Philip Wright Bowling Academy – Lancashire Contribution to Active Communities (Group) Award – Steve pictured far left

Congratulations to our very own Steve Clamp who was awarded the Pendle ‘Sports Coach of the Year’ Award, which is much deserved given all the effort that Steve puts into his coaching at the Philip Wright Bowling Academy and elsewhere.

In addition the Philip Wright Bowling Academy was recently awarded the ‘Contribution to Active Communities (Group) Award at the Active Lancashire Awards for the work they do in Colne – a fantastic achievement given that this covers all of Lancashire.

All these awards help to improve the visibility of the sport, as well as recognising their achievements.

Great Achievement

Steve Clamp receiving his award

Bowls Buddies are really proud that Steve Clamp, one of our Partners, has recently been awarded ‘Grass Roots Coach of the Year’ by Coach Bowls. This is a fantastic achievement. All the marvellous work that Steve does gives him a real insight on what works best for younger and older bowlers, and this input has been invaluable in developing our various products, not least the Bowls Buddies Bowls themselves.

Fantastic Day

What a great day we had today at the Junior Waterloo, that was held at Fleetwood Bowling Club. All the young players that had a go loved the new Bowls Buddies Bowls. The Hexagon Target Mat proved a particular favourite, but we got some fantastic feedback on all the kit that was being used. Some teens must have spent over an hour trying to get the top score with 4 bowls on the Hexagon Target (250 in the end!!). 4 year old Arthur, who was trying bowls for the first time, was also captivated and played for ages at trying to get his bowls on the target mat.
